'A very good wine from a challenging vintage, with a spicy, lightly herbal and floral bouquet whose sweet aromas of plums, cherries and berries are backed by fine, cedary oak. Generous, smooth and even, its long, spicy and slightly meaty palate of slightly raisined and plummy fruit reveals vibrant notes of blackberry, blueberry and plum. Finishing with lingering notes of licorice and currant-like fruit, it's framed by drying and sandpapery tannins.'
