Les Lurets sits below the village, close to the Meursault border. The upper section is classified as 1er cru. This cuvee, comes from an organic plot on shallow, free-draining, pebbly soils. 100% whole cluster. Fermentation with indigenous yeast in a wooden fermenter. 24 days of skin contact. Aging in 228 litre oak barrels, 1/3 new, racked only once after 12 months. 100% natural malolactic fermentation. No filteration and fining. Bottled in January 2017.

"Translucent and delicate, the 2015 Volnay Les Lurets is a model of understated finesse. Red berry, cranberry, orange zest and high-toned floral notes all lift from the glass. The 100% whole clusters are evident, but also very nicely balanced. There is terrific brightness and energy in the Lurets, especially within the context of the year."
