"One of the greatest Australian zins I've tasted yet, this is a rendition of generous, luscious exuberance. Yet for all of its flamboyance, this variety has been impecabbly tamed, concluding with precison, persistance and focus, well controlled by beautiful fine tannins"
- Tyson Stelzer, Wine Business Magazine, July 2018

“This Zinfandel is the real deal. Aromas of dark fruit, figs and chocolate. Full body, juicy tannins and a savory finish. Hints of cream. 50% new wood. From 75-year-old head pruned vines. Small production.”

“Made from 41-year-old, low-yielding zinfandel vines. Indeed arguably the most famous zinfandel vines in Australia.
Hefty fruit, a swagger of oak, velvety texture throughout and a rich, emphatic finish. If you’re looking for a big mouthful of red wine flavour, this delivers it. Cream, asphalt, raspberry, tobacco and mint. It pours it on. Oaks leads the race but the fruit is hardly found wanting. It puts on a fresh display but this is still very much the big end of red wine town.”
