"Caledonia Australis was the vision of a group of wine enthusiasts in the early 1990s to create quality Burgundian style wines, assisted by our talented wine maker and Master of Wine, Martin Williams, who shares this vision. Our approach to winemaking is true to Burgundy style. We seek the natural expression of regionality to produce wines that faithfully reflect our vineyards strengths and uniqueness. We embrace the principles of minimal winemaking intervention, applying contemporary technology as appropriate to achieve similar or superior results to traditional techniques. The results are wines of classic style and outstanding quality.

Aromatic red fruits notes; plum,strawberry/raspberry with hints of rhubarb, herb and spice, and woodsy 'forest floor'. Subtle vanilla and spice oak notes interwoven. Bright fruit leads to a round and juicy mid-palate, good length with a fine, gentle tannin finish with clean fresh acidity." - Caledonia Australia
