"Nutty with citrus and melon aromas. The palate is a medium-bodied style, with oak and winemaking all a subtlety. An usual creamy/almond character adds to the ripe lemon and apple tart personality of the wine. There is a lovely acidity framing this "almost natural" Chardonnay.

Caledonia Australis was the vision of a group of wine enthusiasts in the early 1990s. Their approach to winemaking is true to a Burgundian style. They embrace the principles of minimal winemaking intervention, applying contemporary technology as appropriate to achieve similar or superior results to traditional techniques.
