Ralph Kyte-Powell 95 points!The Farr family of Bannockburn, near Geelong, are among Australia's top pinot noir and shiraz makers. Their chardonnay can be overlooked, especially with the chatter about the current crop of sulphidey, high acid, low-alcohol Oz chardonnays, but these are often superb. This latest effort is typically rich, yet it also excels in finesse. Still needing to harmonise completely, it has white peach and grapefruit aromas, leading through a smooth, lingering, sumptuous palate and zesty finish.

Campbell Mattinson 94 points!There's nothing lean or overly acidic about this. It has flesh on its bones. Power. Give it another few years in the bottle, indeed, and it should be quite brilliant. Lactose, lemon curd, toast, honeysuckle. Top tier chardonnay from Geelong.
