"Definitely more immediate and approachable right now than the BCV '11, the Cashburn is all about plush bright lighter cherry/strawberry fruits, but with plenty of earthy, mushroomy savoury notes as well that make the offering (a) unmistakably 'Burn Cottage' and (b) irresistibly Central Otago at its most Pinoty (I know, not a word, but you know what I mean). Never lacking in intensity and all about finesse and drinkability, with silky tannins, oak in check and considerable persistence on the palate."
