'Looks in outstanding shape. Smells of tobacco, plums, toast and coconut. Beautiful tannin, beautiful fruit, beautiful expression. Outstanding in its style.'

'This VERY limited release of our Old Adam Shiraz label is a result of fastidious batch and barrel selection from the wonderful 2003 vintage. The Old Adam is a combination of parcels of wine from the best blocks of Shiraz. The 2003 vintage is an excellent example of premium Langhorne Creek Shiraz, showing intensity of rich fruit flavours and elegant integrated oak, providing a delicious, well structured, complex wine that will benefit from careful cellaring. We are in a unique position in that we are able to keep all parcels of our wine separate from the time of picking through fermentation to oak maturation. Following some barrel maturation, each parcel is assessed, and the most outstanding parcels of Shiraz are allowed further maturation before being blended to create the Old Adam. This process allows us to maintain the quality distinction and fantastic reputation of this fine wine.'
