“Delicate citrus and mineral aromas, floral notes; long and translucent, smoked meat finish.”

“This was the wine formally known as Composition. More fertile soil profile here. This gets bigger berries, therefore. Left on lees for nine to ten months, and bottled shortly afterwards. Named for a friend of family, inspiration for the wines, and an intellectual sparring partner of vigneron Michael Dhillon’s father. Nice tribute.
Super drinking here. Apple, grapefruit, citrus blossom and marzipan scents. The palate a crisp trill of green apple crunch, lemon balm and lemon yoghurt softness, meshed into a slick of barely-there sweet oak spice. Long in flavour, cool and reserved, wonderfully refreshing. It’s a no-brainer for lovers of fine chardonnay.”

“Bindi maintains a revered, cult-like status in the wine world. Many argue that their wine, made organically and in scarce supply, are the best in Victoria. If there's one element that comes to mind when you think of Bindi Chardonnay, it's minerality. Their Chardonnay is possibly Australia's most terroir-driven, a product of the ancient, quartz-ridden volcanic soils in which it is grown. Made in exactly the same way as the top-tier Quartz Chardonnay, the Kostas Rind is a single vineyard Chardonnay that sees extended lees contact, next to no malo-lactic conversion and a healthy lick of French oak. One of the most exquisite on our shelf, it is a masterclass in precision.”

“An intense, mineral wine fully ripe but lean, taught and intense with savoury, creamy elements. Fragrant notes of orange blossom, nectarine stone, spice and subtle nuttiness are usual with a vibrant, tight, long palate highlighted by clean acidity, wonderful texture and fine length.”
