[SOLD-OUT] Bass Phillip Estate Pinot Noir 2011

Jeremy Oliver 93 points!

"Dominated by suppleness; well-defined structure, and a long, drying astringency. Aroma and palate merge easily and the range of flavours is complex: a combination of light plum fruits; herbs, nuts and shitake mushroom. Lingering finish , with soft stone fruits, pomegranite, and astringency which produces a very cleansing effect."

"Youthfully lean, this briary young pinot should flesh out considerably over time. Its delicate floral aromas of maraschino cherries, dried herbs, briar and blackberry reveal some meaty, gamey development. A moderately long palate of dark cherries, berries and restrained cedary oak finishes with a slightly sappy extract, with savoury and herbal notes.
The Australian Wine Annual 2014.
"Very spicy, red fruited, some green but pleasant notes. Light bodied, fresh, clear, a bit tangy and an almost orange juice character, but the line is straight and the finish is good. Don't think cellaring time will do it any harm at all."
Gary Walsh, Wine Front, 19th February 2014.
