"I stumbled across this in my garage this morning. I didn't know that I had it - and, considering that its retail price is $100, I'm surprised that I've not heard of it. It is made by the Langmeil team, and comes from vines that are over 100 years old. It's been matured in mostly French oak, with a small amount of it matured in American. Its leathery, coffeed profile shows some signs of development, but its firm structure should still see it through to a relatively good age. Black coal, black earth, peat and menthol-like flavours are also prominent. It's warm with alcohol, but is quite delicious. Its combination of softness and structure elevate it above the normal, but the warmth of its alcohol interferes slightly with the mid-palate. Mind, I could still drink lots of it. Drink: 2009 - 2016."
