FOLLOWING ON FROM LAST YEAR'S 99-POINT EFFORT, THE MUCH ANTICIPATED NEW SINGLE VINEYARD PINOT FROM BANNOCKBURN'S CLOSE-PLANTED SERRE SITE.  

"It certainly is the best of our Pinot Noir sites: uniform, focused, powerful and fragrant, every year. It will continue to develop and drink well for ten to 15 years or more. Pinot Noir grown at Serré Vineyard, a high density planting with low trellising and narrow rows to replicate the tough vineyard conditions of Grand Cru Burgundy. It naturally yields at 500g/vine. This block is possibly the oldest close-planted Pinot Noir vineyard in Australia.      

Bright mid red colour, with a vibrant nose of lively red fruits and complexing spice, the whole bunch fermentation creates transparency and structure. This lovely wine promises enjoyment in both the short and medium term." - Bannockburn
