"The 2024 vintage delivers a lot of Chardonnay flavour, Bannockburn site character and value for the money. The aromas open strongly with citrus, fresh pastry, grilled peach and some wild honey. In the mouth the wine is fleshy and round but balanced. The flavours are prominently in the stone fruit spectrum, some creme brulee and hints of smoky wood character. The finish is tight with zippy acidity and a lick of salinity to draw out the length.

1314 Chardonnay is made from a blend of fruit grown on our established vineyards; the oldest vines planted in 1976, through to the most recent 2016 planting. The 2024 vintage is a barrel selection based on an earlier bottling regime and a younger drinking window. The clonal mix includes P58, Bernard 76, 95 & 96, with various vine spacings and planting densities.
Wild yeast fermentation in French oak hogsheads of which approximately 20% is new, followed by 100% malolactic fermentation. The wine was left on lees unstirred for 8 months prior to blending and bottling.
