It’s got lots of flavour and freshness in tow. Then again, it tastes pretty righteous in its way. Spicy food and a light chill should work a treat."

"Single vineyard 80 year old bush vine Grenache from the Blewitt Springs sub region of McLaren Vale. All hand-picked fruit the old bush vines growing in sandy soil in Blewitt Springs. Fruit was de-stemmed with whole berries remaining intact and fermented to dryness. Free run juice was then transferred from the ferment to a single 500L neutral French puncheon where it matured for 9 months prior to bottling in December 2018. 50 dozen produced under screwcap.

Fresh vibrancy and vivacity is the hallmark of this wine. Bright juicy red berry characters dance through the palate and soft tannins provide a good structure and mouthfeel. The wine bursts out of the glass with vibrant red cherry compote and raspberry aromatics. Fresh minerality is a hallmark with a crunchy red apple spice laden palate full of cinnamon and hints of clove.

A great wine to kick off with, it’s light – medium body keeps the drinkability factor high. Unfined & unfiltered so some sediment may remain – we recommend decanting.
