[SOLD-OUT] Antiquarian Shiraz 2013

Huon Hooke 95 Points!

An Antiquarian is a collector of rare or ancient books and curios, a name befitting this rare and exclusive wine. Antiquarian wines, the pinnacle of quality, are hand crafted from only the very best parcels. The 2013 Antiquarian Shiraz was selected from the finest Barossa grapes and matured in French oak barriquesfor 24 months. The wine is glorious upon release and will develop even greater complexity with cellaring for up to 10 years. The 2013 vintage in the Barossa Valley will be remembered as the driest, earliest and quickest vintage in memory.Nine days above 30°in early March (the 3rd longest run ever of above 30°days in March), meant that much of the shirazripened earlyand was picked in the first two weeks of March. The grapes were grown at altitudes between 400 and 600 metres. Yieldswere generally below average, butqualitylooks strong with conditions ideal for the production of elegant red wines.
