Orlando

Orlando has one of the most impeccable pedigrees in the Australian wine industry. It began more than 150 years ago when Johann Gramp planted his first vine cuttings beside Jacob's Creek, marking the start of an unbroken history of fine wine making. The Orlando range today is headed by the prestige wines Lawson's Padthaway Shiraz and Jacaranda Ridge Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon. Lawson's Shiraz, a single vineyard wine from a tiny 2.8 hectare Padthaway vineyard planted in 1968, has produced a total of 24 trophies and 135 gold medals in Australian and international wine shows since it was first released in 1990. Twelve vintages of the limited release Jacaranda Ridge, one of Australia's most prized cabernet sauvignons from Coonawarra and released only in exceptional years, have won a remarkable 18 trophies in addition to 65 gold medals.www.postcards.sa.com.au
