Lots of purple berries - glossy purple/black berries. In other words, cool clime Shiraz a go-go. Mid weight palate is juicy and black fruited, initially quite ripe and round, but also dry and heightened by snappy acidity. What brings you back is the layers of flavour, with a clove and licoricey savoury blackness, topped off with a dry finish and warming alcohol.
I liked this. It's a more secondary wine, likely to drink better younger and be more interesting in the shorter term. Great to see a characterful wine under the Singlefile label.

"Continuing the Larry Cherubino theme " this is grown on the Riversdale Vineyard, the same vineyard Cherubino uses for wines under his own name. Cherubino advised the Singlefile folks on vineyard sourcing sites.
Black fruit and black pepper. Always a lovely combination, and here in spades. Has a slatey, gunpowdery, slightly reductive character too, plus cloves and toasty oak. Bitter choc and olive through the finish. Has a bit of class to it. "
