"A wine I've come to look forward to trying each year, as the standard of recent releases has been consistently high. The 2010 is no exception, with a deep cherry and black fruit nose, cassis and purple florals, sweet oak adding interest and a thread of ripe, leafy regional character in the mix. The palate is brimming with lively fruit attack; there's cassis, anise and toasty, cedary oak here. Impressive, chalky tannin texture, really packed with flavour, immensely fresh too. Superb once again."

From 1973 plantings in Wilyabrup " an unofficial sub-region that's not yet trademarked...

Perfume of lavender, violets, vanilla and gum leaf " sort of " dark chocolate, black and some red fruits, dark tobacco and earthiness. Full bodied, fleshy and weighty, with a superb set of gravelly tannin " savoury inky sort of tannin " the best kind. Shows a touch of warmth and generosity, but stays within the lines. Long controlled tobacco and dark chocolate finish. That's four in a row from Juniper.
