The palate counters this aromatic richness with a steely, concentrated core of fresh citrus with apple and quince notes. It offers a great play-off of richness and utter precision for a wonderful expression of 2014. This wine is sure to develop. Drink 2016–2025.”

"Pale straw. Honeyed pears and baked apple on the enticing nose. Lovely balance and sneaky concentration to the orchard and cinnamon flavors. Has a glyceral mouthfeel but is not sweet at all (2.5 g/L residual sugar and 5.4 g/L total acidity; 50 percent malo done) and tastes classically dry in the typical Josmeyer house style."
