"The cuvees for this wine come from mainly "Premier and Grand cru" vineyards in the Cote des Blancs and in the two fine red grape areas of the Vallee de la Marne and the Montagne de Reims which overlooks the city. The wine is produced from one third each of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinor Meunier. The sub-soil is chalk and a mixyure of clay and chalk."
