"65% fruit off the Toolangi vineyard at Dixon’s Creek, the rest from Swallowfield in Gembrook. Whole-bunch pressed, wild fermented, aged about 10 months in French puncheons, 40% new with no mlf. A satisfying outcome. Flinty and a little funky, with grapefruit and lemon flavours mixing it up with some creamy, nutty barrel ferment flavours. Cedary oak adds a layer, too. Lots in this, yet a tight style and needs food in order to admire it more." - Wine Companion

 

"I love the purity of this wine. It tastes essential. It includes flavours of nectarine and apple, dry pear and citrus, edges of chalk and cedar through the finish helping to tie it all together.
