"The estate of Celine and Frederic Gueguen is made up of 25 hectares of vines in the villages of Chablis, Chichee, la Chapelle Vaupelteigne, Saint-Bris and Irancy. The 40 year old vines are planted on classic soils of Kimmeridgian, and limestone. This Jurassic soil, with its maritime fossils, provides the wines with trademark minerality and salinity.
Mineral taste with notes of flint, anise, citrus. A tender, fleshy and delicious wine unoak. Nuanced flavors combine with a nice acidity make an excellent match for fish, tapas.
A brilliant yellow colour, a fine and very fruity nose reminiscent of white-fleshed fruits and citrus fruits. The palate is supple and surprises with its freshness. We find the fruit has a slight liveliness which prolongs the aromas." - Domaine Gueguen
