[SOLD-OUT] Dom de Valmengaux 2012 1500mL-Magnum

Vincent Rapin the owner of La Dame de Onze Heure who also does consulting for other properties, also owns another vineyard with his wife Béatrice near Fronsac. They have named (using syllables from the first names of their three children) Domaine de Valmengaux. 2001 was their first vintage on this 3.3ha property which is now certified biodynamic. They have chosen not to be in Bordeaux Supérieur AOC, not agreeing with its legalities, and have therefore opted to be a ‘domaine’ rather than a ‘château’.

Dark garnet with purple tinge. The nose is very enjoyable, open with notes of black and red fruits and fine spices. The attack is soft, great rounded texture, suave and silky smooth tannins. Still a little young, but is beginning to show its ambitions and potential.
