Opting for the lesser known varietals can often mean scoring a great wine for a very attractive price! We can guarantee these off-the-beaten-track varietals from reliable Australian producers will surprise and delight.

Included in this six pack are:

1 x Coriole Piquepoul 2020: Coriole planted Australia's first Piquepoul vineyard in 2010 after falling in love with this delightful southern French variety. It is delicate and lively; a wonderful seafood partner.

1 x Tahbilk Marsanne Museum Release 2012: with the largest and oldest single holding of Marsanne in the world, Tahbilk is a flagship producer for this rare varietal which originated from the Northern Rhone and Hermitage

1 x Terrason Aligote 2019: often the first experience with Aligoté is in Gevrey Chambertin where its made into a stunning Bourgogne Blanc or Meursault in a more serious rendition. Often misunderstood, it’s an age-worthy variety that can be cellared for a decade and more. Expect to see citrus, alpine herbs, and a saline/brininess that is derived from the iron rich ancient volcanic soils

1 x Izway Mates Aglianico 2019: a vibrant and juicy red, this grape originates in southern Italy. Expect an attractive combination of fine tannin and bright acidity, with flavours including red berry fruits and white pepper.

1 x Buckshot The Square Peg Zinfandel 2017: while the grape originates from Italy, this varietal is one of America's most popular reds. Buckshot make a delicious, full-bodied expression from Heathcote!

1 x Oakridge Pinot Meunier 2019: a variety of black wine grape most noted for being one of the three main varieties used in the production of Champagne (the other two are Pinot Noir and Chardonnay).  It is a chimeric mutation of Pinot: its inner cell layers are composed of a Pinot genotype which is close to Pinot Noir or Pinot Gris; the outer, epidermal, layer is however made up of a mutant, distinctive, genotype.
