“This is all chardonnay Champagne and all of it spends time in oak barrels, unusually. It is AR Lenoble’s prestige cuvee wine, that is, their top flight. Honey, toasty, cinnamon spice, comely scents of bakery goods and sweet stone fruit. Spicy start, lots of character. Has a richness but set high on freshness. Lightly creamy palate, squeaky acidity, vigorous firm bead. Good freshness and vitality amongst the toasty-honey-wood spice going on. Graceful feel despite some heft – dive in for a power packed Champagne.”

A bright golden colour and fine bubbles. The nose reveals complex aromas of white fruit, jasmine, toasted brioche, acacia and fine oak. The palate is rich, creamy textured but with a high acidity contrasted by the flavour complexity of the aromas discovered on the nose and chalky minerality. Very long finish with pretty spices.
